I was given a plastic banjo when I was 2.5 years old... then played guitar before my teen years and forever after... Later to become a recording engineer, producer, and finally a studio owner/operator
How long have you been in the industry?
I've been officially "in the industry" since leaving high school and building my first recording studio on Long Island.
What is one thing we don't know about you?
I own a square mile of Mars...
What is one thing you have learnt from the music industry?
Perseverence!
What are some of the struggles in this industry?
There are many obstacles in this industry as in any other. Here I find some commonalities such as contacts/connections... A major endeavor for the struggling composer... The low (or NO) pay gigs that must be undertaken for so many years of any career is another major struggle... Eating while living as a musician.
Getting exposure... How to get exposure with little or no funds...
What do you love about the music industry?
I love the "bohemian" lifestule that typically goes with it... The familiar form of contact between buisnes connections as well as co-workers... The sharing of ideas....
What do you do to chill out?
When I've gotta chill, it'll probably be to read a sci-fi book or watch a movie...
One of your favourite sayings?

Do you write, produce your own material?
I write, perform, engineer, produce, and market my own material...
A highlight in your career?
I spent many years working with my best friend EBN (of the 80's act Ebn - Ozn)... We did many albums, jingles, and other assorted projects together including work with Arif Mardin, Phil Ramone, and Keith Diamond for some acts such as Michael Bolton and James Ingram...The most fun was probably recording and afterwards the live tour for the act Ebn - Ozn themselves...
